Belaguntha, July 29 UDN}:On the occasion of Kargil Vijay Diwas, a free Ayurvedic health check-up and awareness camp, along with a voluntary blood donation camp, was organised at the premises of Sarat Chandra Panda Memorial High School in Gangapur under Belaguntha Block. The programme was organised with the support of the Bhanjanagar Bar Association.
Sorada MLA Nilamani Bishoyi attended the programme as the chief guest and inaugurated the camps. He also highlighted the importance of voluntary blood donation and urged people to come forward and donate blood to help save lives.
Among others, Bhanjanagar Bar Association President Santosh Nayak, Vice-President Rajat Kumar Dash, advocates Santosh Kumar Biswal, Sudhanshu Sekhar Polai, peon Gobinda Parida, Manguli Sahu, MLA representative Jitendra Kumar Nayak, Gangapur Sarpanch representative Surendra Dakua, Khairaputi Sarpanch Satyaban Swain, advocates Simanjali Pushti, Sneha Mishra and Purna Chandra Rath, as well as social worker and entrepreneur Sushant Patra, were present at the event.
During the health camp, 86 patients underwent health check-ups, following which medicines were distributed to them free of cost. On the occasion, several advocates from the Bhanjanagar Bar Association and other dignitaries also voluntarily donated blood. A total of 15 units of blood were collected during the camp.
Kalu Charan Patra, an employee of Apex Company, carried out blood testing as part of the programme.
The health consultation team included Dr. Sourav Kumar Satapathy, Dr. Bipin Bihari Sahu, Dr. Kiran Kumar Panigrahi, Dr. Ramachandra Rath, Dr. Atulya Kumar Pattnaik and Dr. Ramesh Chandra Dash. Ayurvedic medicine distributor Nishikanta Sadangi was also present and contributed to the programme.
The programme was conducted under the supervision of Headmaster Surendra Kumar Sahu. Teachers, female teachers and other staff members of the school extended their cooperation in making the health awareness and blood donation camp successful.
The event combined healthcare awareness, free medical assistance and voluntary blood donation, sending a strong message about the importance of community service and helping those in need.
