Bhubaneswar, July 29 UDN}: 71 secondary schools will be upgraded to Higher Secondary Schools.
The Central Government has sanctioned ₹140.74 crore for the initiative.
The proposal has been approved by the Project Approval Board (PAB) under the Samagra Shiksha Scheme.
Arts streams will be introduced in 60 schools, while Science streams will be launched in 11 schools.
Schools across 20 districts of Odisha will benefit from the scheme.
Ganjam district will have the highest number of schools upgraded, with 12 schools set to receive the benefit.
