Gajapati,July 17 (UDN): A tragic incident was reported from a Meena Bazaar in Gajapati district, where a 15-year-old boy lost his life after allegedly suffering an electric shock.
According to preliminary information, the minor came in contact with an electrified object or installation at the fair premises and was critically injured. He was immediately rushed to a nearby hospital for treatment, where doctors declared him dead.
The incident has left the victim's family and local residents in deep shock. Police reached the spot after receiving information and initiated an investigation to ascertain the exact cause of the electrocution. Authorities are also examining whether any negligence in electrical safety arrangements at the Meena Bazaar led to the mishap.
