Bhubaneswar: Sept 10 [UDN}:Odisha Deputy Chief Minister Kanak Vardhan Singh Deo met with a group of farmers from Kalahandi district at Lok Seva Bhawan and held detailed discussions with them on various issues concerning agriculture and the welfare of the farming community.
During the interaction, the Deputy Chief Minister listened to the farmers’ views, concerns, suggestions and experiences related to farming and rural livelihoods. He discussed a range of matters affecting the agricultural sector and exchanged views with the farmer brothers and sisters on ways to further strengthen agricultural development and improve the overall welfare of farmers in the state.
The meeting provided an opportunity for the farmers from Kalahandi to directly share their experiences and raise issues of importance with the Deputy Chief Minister. Kanak Vardhan Singh Deo interacted with them in detail and emphasized the importance of understanding the challenges faced by farmers at the grassroots level.
The interaction at Lok Seva Bhawan reflects the government’s continued focus on maintaining direct communication with the farming community and addressing issues related to agriculture, rural development and farmers’ welfare. The discussions also highlighted the importance of taking farmers’ suggestions into consideration while framing and implementing policies and programmes for the agricultural sector.
The Deputy Chief Minister’s meeting with the Kalahandi farmers was seen as an important platform for dialogue, allowing both sides to exchange views on various agricultural and development-related matters and work towards strengthening the interests of the farming community in Odisha.
