Kendrapara, June 2: A review meeting of the District Development Coordination and Monitoring Committee (DDCMC) was held at the Kendrapara Zilla Parishad on Tuesday to assess the progress of key development and welfare initiatives in the district.
The meeting was chaired by MP Baijayant Panda and attended by senior officials from various departments.
Discussions focused on the implementation of major government schemes, including Beti Bachao Beti Padhao, Integrated Child Development Services, and the Jal Jeevan Mission, along with improvements in Anganwadi infrastructure.
Officials also reviewed ongoing road and basic infrastructure projects and stressed the need for timely completion of works related to education, healthcare, drinking water, and sanitation.
The MP directed departments to speed up implementation so that benefits of development schemes reach people on time, especially in rural areas.
