Bhubaneswar, Sept 10 [UDN}:A high-level review meeting was held under the chairmanship of Odisha Revenue Minister Suresh Pujari to discuss proposed amendments to the relevant laws for introducing paperless deed registration in the state.
Under the proposed system, registration documents will be restricted to a maximum of four pages, making the entire registration process simpler, faster and more convenient for citizens. The move is aimed at reducing paperwork, streamlining documentation and improving the efficiency of registration services.
The state government is taking a major step towards establishing a citizen-centric and fully digital registration system. The proposed reforms are expected to make property and deed registration more transparent, hassle-free and time-efficient while reducing dependence on physical documents.
The initiative is part of the government’s broader efforts to modernise revenue administration and provide easy, technology-driven public services to citizens.
