Nabarangpur, June 24 {UDN}: The newly appointed Superintendent of Police (SP) of Nabarangpur district, Shri Partha Kashyap, was warmly welcomed by the District Citizens’ Committee during a courtesy meeting.
During the meeting, a fruitful discussion was held between both sides on various issues related to the district’s law and order situation, traffic problems in the town, and public safety concerns.
Members present included Citizens’ Committee President Shri Jagannath Mohapatra, Secretary Shri Ram I. Prasad Patra, Co-convener Shri Pradeep Sahu, Treasurer Shri Srinivas Patra, and Additional Government Advocate Shri Kishore Pattnaik, among others. They welcomed the new SP by presenting him with a bouquet.
During the discussion, several important issues were raised, such as maintaining a peaceful and harmonious environment in the district, finding proper solutions to the increasing traffic congestion in the town, and establishing traffic posts at busy locations like Dasahara Poda ground and Women’s College Square. The committee also suggested the construction of beat houses at Collector Office Square and Chamuriaguda area, as well as repair and restoration of non-functional CCTV cameras installed at various locations in the town.
The SP attentively listened to the proposals and assured that the police administration would always remain committed to strengthening law and order in the district and ensuring public safety.
Officials expressed hope that this courtesy meeting would further strengthen coordination and cooperation between the district police and the public.
