The festival showcases premium and indigenous mango varieties from different regions of the state, aiming to connect rural growers with urban consumers, traders, and institutional buyers.

Officials said the initiative is designed to strengthen the rural economy by improving market access, encouraging value addition, and promoting branding of Odisha’s horticulture produce. The event also supports self-help groups and farmer collectives in expanding their business opportunities.

Visitors at the festival can explore fresh mango varieties, interact with producers, and gain awareness about Odisha’s diverse horticultural output. The event is expected to enhance demand for locally grown produce while boosting farmer incomes.

ORMAS officials emphasised that such initiatives play an important role in building sustainable agri-marketing systems and strengthening the link between rural producers and larger markets.

The Mango Festival 2026 is also seen as a step toward promoting agri-entrepreneurship and positioning Odisha as a key hub for quality mango production.
