Chandrabhaga,Sept 2 [UDN}: With the objectives of protecting biodiversity and livelihoods, mitigating lightning risks, safeguarding the coastline and preventing coastal erosion, protecting the Puri–Konark Marine Drive, preserving the environment, and strengthening natural sand dunes, the Shobha Foundation undertook a palm-seed plantation drive at Chandrabhaga Beach under Konark NAC.
More than 500 palm seeds were planted during the initiative. Shobha Foundation Chairman Gyan Ranjan Biswal, social worker Bidhadhar Behera, and volunteer Silu participated in the plantation drive. The foundation stated that more palm seeds will be planted in the area in the coming days.
