Phulbani,July 27 UDN}: The dedicated efforts of Block Development Officer (BDO) Hruda Ranjan Sahu to improve school infrastructure and raise the standard of education in Chakapad Block of Kandhamal district have been widely appreciated.
Recently, a public hearing was held in the conference hall of the Block Office based on a report prepared by the community social audit team. The meeting was chaired by BDO Hruda Ranjan Sahu. During the meeting, Community Social Auditor Ranjan Khamari presented the problems and challenges faced by 32 schools under the block.
The issues raised included the need for construction of additional classrooms, provision of safe drinking water, construction of boundary walls, development of playgrounds and repair and maintenance of school buildings. After hearing the concerns, BDO Sahu assured the participants that necessary steps would be taken to address the problems and improve the overall educational infrastructure in the block.
Members of the School Management Committees, along with teachers from schools across the block, attended the meeting. ABEO Bulu Desi Nayak was also present and offered valuable suggestions and advice.
The meeting also highlighted the need for continued development of education, healthcare, transportation and drinking water supply facilities in the block area. The initiative by the BDO is being viewed as an important step towards improving basic facilities in schools and ensuring better educational opportunities for students in the region.
