Rayagada , Sept 3 [UDN}:Rayagada District Collector inaugurated a bio-mining project for the scientific processing and management of accumulated waste at the old dumping yard near Maa Majhighariani Temple in Rayagada.
The initiative aims to systematically process and scientifically manage the legacy waste lying at the site through modern bio-mining techniques. The project is expected to help reduce the environmental impact of the old dumping yard, improve sanitation, and reclaim the land for better and more sustainable use.
The bio-mining initiative marks an important step toward strengthening scientific waste management, environmental protection, and urban cleanliness in Rayagada. Through the segregation, processing, and appropriate disposal or recovery of different categories of waste, the project seeks to minimize pollution and improve the overall surroundings of the area.
The launch of the project reflects the administration’s efforts to address long-standing waste-management challenges and create a cleaner and healthier environment for residents and visitors. Special emphasis is being placed on adopting environmentally responsible methods rather than continuing conventional dumping practices.
The initiative is also expected to contribute to the broader vision of building a cleaner, greener, and more sustainable Rayagada, while promoting better waste-management practices and protecting the local environment.
