Bhubaneswar, Sept 10 [UDN}:A meeting of the Revenue Department was held at the Secretariat Conference Hall under the chairmanship of Revenue Minister Suresh Pujari, where detailed discussions were held on making the state’s registration system fully digital and paperless.
The meeting focused on the need for necessary amendments to the Registration Act and the Registration Act, 1908, to modernise the existing registration process and make it more simple, fast, transparent and citizen-centric.
The proposed reforms are aimed at enabling citizens to access document registration services more conveniently and efficiently, reducing dependence on physical paperwork and simplifying the procedures involved in registration.
The government intends to transform Odisha’s registration system into a technology-driven and citizen-friendly service, ensuring greater transparency and quicker delivery of services. The proposed legal and procedural changes are expected to facilitate a smoother registration experience for citizens while reducing unnecessary delays and administrative hurdles.
Overall, the initiative seeks to establish a more transparent, streamlined, speedy and citizen-centric registration mechanism across Odisha.
