Bhubaneswar, July 14 [UDN}: Land Purchase and Sale in the State to Become Completely Cashless!
- The Revenue Department will soon issue a Standard Operating Procedure (SOP) for the implementation of the new system.
- After registration, land documents will also be made available online.
- Land purchase and sale transactions in the state will become entirely cashless.
- Not a single rupee will be allowed to be transacted in cash during the process.
- Earlier, cash transactions of up to ₹15,000 were permitted.
- This decision has been taken to make land registration offices free from middlemen and brokers.
- Citizens will no longer have to visit the registration office repeatedly for documentation and related procedures.
