Tentulikhunti, Aug 24 [UDN}: A Millet Tiffin Centre was inaugurated at Kukudabai Gram Panchayat under Tentulikhunti Block as part of the Shree Anna Abhiyan initiative. The centre was formally inaugurated by Block Development Officer (BDO) Manoj Kumar Panigrahi and Block Agriculture Officer Barun Dhanphul by cutting the ribbon.
The programme was coordinated by Nishant Bishoyi, Block Coordinator of the Shree Anna Abhiyan. The responsibility for operating the tiffin centre has been entrusted to the Shanti Jyoti Self-Help Group (SHG) of Bijraguda village.
BDO Manoj Kumar Panigrahi said that the women members of the SHG would run the business at the centre and become economically self-reliant through the initiative.
During the inaugural ceremony, SHG members prepared and distributed a variety of delicious millet-based food items, including ragi laddus, kakara pitha, khadu, muduki, mixture, pakodas and kangoo kheer, along with various dry-food products.
Among others, District Coordinator Deeptimayee Choudhury, Rahul Prakash Neeraj from Mission Shakti, Agriculture Overseer Dhiren Benya, Jai Patra from Agragami and Samai Majhi attended the programme.
