Bhubaneswar, Sept 10 [UDN}:As part of the Odisha Government’s UAE investment outreach programme, several high-level business, investment and diplomatic meetings are scheduled to be held on September 9, 2026. Chief Minister Mohan Charan Majhi, along with the Odisha delegation, will engage with leading UAE-based companies, investors and business organisations to showcase Odisha’s investment potential and explore opportunities for industrial collaboration.
Roundtable with IHC business units and group companies:
Chief Minister Mohan Charan Majhi and the Odisha delegation will hold discussions with various business units and group companies of International Holding Company (IHC). The talks will focus on investment opportunities in Odisha and strengthening industrial partnerships across promising sectors.
Meeting with the Indian Business and Professional Group (IBPG):
The Chief Minister will interact with members of the Indian Business and Professional Group (IBPG) in Abu Dhabi. Discussions will centre on strengthening India-UAE business ties and highlighting Odisha as an attractive destination for investment.
Meeting with Borouge CEO Hazim Sultan Al Suwaidi:
A high-level meeting will be held with Borouge CEO Hazim Sultan Al Suwaidi to explore investment and partnership opportunities in Odisha’s petrochemical sector.
Engagements with UAE investment institutions:
The Odisha delegation will meet leading investment institutions in the UAE and present the state’s industrial capabilities, emerging sectors and investment opportunities. The discussions are aimed at attracting new investments and expanding economic partnerships.
Launch of Odisha’s ODOP product exhibition in Dubai:
An exhibition showcasing Odisha’s products under the ‘One District, One Product’ (ODOP) initiative will be inaugurated in Dubai. The exhibition will provide a platform to promote Odisha’s traditional products, handicrafts and products made by local entrepreneurs in the UAE market.
Meeting with the Consul General of India in Dubai:
The Chief Minister and the Odisha delegation will meet the Consul General of India in Dubai to discuss ways to further strengthen Odisha-UAE relations, including institutional cooperation and community-level engagement.
Overall, the UAE outreach is aimed at positioning Odisha as a preferred global investment destination, attracting UAE-based investments, strengthening industrial partnerships and creating international market opportunities for Odisha’s local products and entrepreneurs.
