Bhubaneswar, June 24 {UDN}: Under the Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana–Urban 2.0, assistance is being provided to urban families for the construction of pucca houses. This initiative is bringing improvement in both quality housing and social security. Through this step, the goal of “Housing for All” is being ensured.
The scheme also focuses on promoting inclusive urban development by prioritizing economically weaker sections, low-income groups, and middle-income families. It ensures that beneficiaries receive financial support in a transparent and efficient manner through direct benefit transfer.
Along with providing shelter, the programme encourages the development of basic civic amenities such as water supply, sanitation, electricity, and road connectivity in housing projects. This contributes to improved living standards and healthier urban environments.
