July 6 (UDN):A viral video circulating on social media has sparked panic among villagers in Balugaon area of Khordha district, with locals claiming a tigress and two cubs were spotted nearby.
Following the incident, the Forest Department has initiated a verification process to determine the authenticity of the video and confirm whether a tiger is actually present in the region.
Officials have stated that there is currently no confirmed evidence of tiger movement in the area. Forest teams have been deployed to investigate on the ground and collect factual information.
Authorities have urged residents to remain calm, avoid spreading unverified information, and immediately report any genuine wildlife sightings to the nearest forest office.
The department has assured that further action will be taken based on the outcome of the investigation.
