Bhubaneswar, July 28 (UDN): The Odisha government has taken a step towards expanding the state’s technology ecosystem by inviting developers to set up a new IT Park at Damana Square in Bhubaneswar.
The proposed 25-acre IT Park aims to create a modern business hub for IT and IT-enabled services (ITeS) companies, startups, and technology-driven enterprises, while generating new opportunities for investment and employment.
The Odisha Computer Application Centre (OCAC), under the Electronics and Information Technology Department, has invited Expressions of Interest (EoI) from developers to identify potential partners for the project.
The planned campus will be developed as a “Walk-to-Work” destination, featuring office spaces along with residential, commercial, and recreational facilities. The project is expected to have around 45 lakh square feet of built-up area, with a major portion reserved for IT and ITeS operations.
The proposed development will include modern office facilities, incubation and co-working spaces, retail areas, hospitality services, digital infrastructure, and sustainable design features.
Officials said the project will strengthen Bhubaneswar’s position as an emerging technology hub and help attract investments, support startups, and create employment opportunities for skilled professionals.
The Odisha government said the initiative is part of its broader vision to build a future-ready IT ecosystem and promote innovation-led growth in the state.
