Bhubaneswar:July 15 [UDN}: Soon, every medicine store across Odisha will be required to display a rate chart in front of the shop, ensuring greater transparency in medicine pricing.
The state government is planning to introduce a uniform pricing system for medicines so that customers are charged the same price for the same medicine across the state.
The move aims to prevent overcharging, bring uniformity in medicine rates, and protect consumers from price discrepancies between different pharmacies. Patients and their families are expected to benefit from easier price comparison and improved transparency in the healthcare sector.
