Loisingha, June 26 {UDN}:  A special programme was organized at the Loisingha Community Health Centre in Balangir district on Sunday. The chief guest of the event was local MLA and Odisha Health Minister Mukesh Mahaling, who launched a mobile application designed to collect feedback from patients and their family members regarding hospital infrastructure, patient care, cleanliness, and other healthcare services.

The app allows patients and visitors to share their opinions, suggestions, and complaints about hospital facilities through a QR code-based system accessible via Google Search, without requiring OTP verification. The initiative aims to encourage public participation in improving healthcare services and hospital management.

The application has been introduced for the Loisingha Community Health Centre, its three sub-health centres, and ten Ayushman Arogya Mandirs operating under its jurisdiction. According to the Health Minister, the feedback system is expected to improve cleanliness, administrative efficiency, and the overall quality of patient care.

Describing it as the first initiative of its kind in Odisha, the Minister thanked Chief District Medical Officer Dr. Pushpanjali Mishra and the officials of Loisingha Community Health Centre for their efforts. He also appreciated the fact that the app was developed using funds received by the health centre as a government award.

Minister Mahaling stated that if the initiative proves successful and beneficial, it could be implemented across Odisha in the future.

The Chief District Medical Officer said that the Loisingha Community Health Centre has taken a commendable step under the Kayakalp Programme, which focuses on improving healthcare quality and cleanliness. She noted that the feedback system would contribute positively to the hospital’s quality assessment process.
In-charge Medical Officer Dr. Shekharlal Pradhan said that the development of any hospital or institution depends significantly on feedback from patients, their relatives, and local residents. Such feedback helps identify areas for improvement and guides future planning. Keeping this objective in mind, the digital feedback platform has been introduced to collect opinions on various departments and services of the hospital.
The initiative is expected to strengthen transparency, accountability, and citizen participation in the healthcare system while helping authorities improve service delivery based on real-time public feedback.
