Bhubaneswar, July 8 {UDN}: To prevent accidents during the rainy season, the government has decided to install barricades along major drains and canals in vulnerable areas. A special action plan has been prepared for Bhubaneswar, Cuttack, and Puri to ensure public safety during heavy rainfall and waterlogging situations.
The authorities have also directed officials to identify accident-prone locations and take immediate preventive measures. A 24-hour control room will remain operational to monitor the situation and respond quickly to emergencies. Coordination among various departments has been strengthened to ensure efficient disaster management and smooth traffic movement.
Citizens have been advised to remain cautious during heavy rains and follow official advisories issued by the administration.
